My husband and I absolutely LOVED our honeymoon and had the BEST time! 10/10 recommend the Sandals resorts in St. Lucia! An all-inclusive resort is definitely the way to go for a honeymoon because everything is done for you. You don’t have to worry about how to get to a restaurant for dinner or carrying money with you to buy your drinks while you lounge by the pool. Literally EVERYTHING is taken care of and you can just relax and enjoy. ALSO we splurged a little bit and chose to have a room that included a butler which we LOVED! It’s definitely not necessary to have a butler but it makes things so much easier when you do. Sandals also has three resorts in St. Lucia which you have access to if you are staying at one of them. This means you get to travel to any of the three and try all of their restaurants if you want!
Here are a collection of things we loved about Sandals Halcyon Beach Castries, St. Lucia.

- All-Inclusive Luxury:
My husband and I decided to go on a helicopter ride to the resort from the airport and we absolutely LOVED it! It made traveling from airport to resort much quicker and also the landscape was beautiful!! Once we got to the Sandals Halcyon Beach Resort, it immediately felt super luxurious and the architecture was so fancy. We were met by a staff member who took us to check in and meet with one of our butlers. We were then taken to our room which was one of my favorite things about our trip. Once we got the run down about how things worked and where things were from our butler we got settled in and then went to dinner! All food and drinks are included and most all restaurants on this particular resort are just a short walk. Oh, and did I mention your butler will escort you to dinner and have your table reserved and decorated for you???
- Our Room:
We chose the Honeymoon Butler Room w/ Private Pool Sanctuary and wow did we love it! It was secluded and surrounded by beautiful trees and flowers. We had our own little pool right outside of our room that was great when we just felt like being to ourselves away from the people at the main public pool. There were lounge chairs by our pool as well as a table and 2 chairs where we had breakfast brought to us a few times. Our room featured a king size bed, large tv, and beautiful large shower in the bathroom. Our room was cleaned daily by resort staff and always had a cute decoration on the bed from when they came by for turn down service.
- The Food:
How can I describe the food!? There was so much to choose from! On this resort there is the Bayside restaurant which is where we always ate breakfast and lunch. This was a buffet style restaurant that always had something amazing that we loved. There is also an Italian restaurant called Marios, Kelly’s Dockside which has creole seafood, Soy which is a sushi bar, Kimonos, and also a Beach Bistro which is where we ate lunch sometimes but also got some late-night snacks as well. Let me just say that late night nachos from the beach bistro are to die for!
- Excursions/Experiences:
We went on a few excursions while on our honeymoon that were so much fun! On our first day we treated ourselves to a couple’s massage in the spa. This was my first massage ever and it was soooo relaxing after our long plane ride. We also went on an excursion called Joe Knows tour which was one of our favorite things we did on this trip. This excursion included a boat ride down the coast line, volcano tour with mud bath and natural hot springs, waterfall, lunch, snorkeling, and a boat ride back to our resort. We also went on a SNUBA diving excursion, and two more couple’s massages during the week.

- Butlers:
Oh, how we loved our butlers! We had a team of three butlers and they did a fantastic job. My husband and I felt so pampered by the end of our trip. We were given a little mobile phone that we could use to reach our butler at any time if we needed anything or had any questions. They would reserve our seats for dinner at whichever restaurant we chose for the evening. They would also reserve us a lounge chair by the pool or on the beach upon request and bring us snacks or drinks during the day as well. I definitely recommend going with a butler room if you are trying to decide if you think it is worth it or not. IT IS WORTH IT!
I hope this blog post answered some questions about sandals resorts for you and gave you some insight into this luxurious honeymoon location. We obviously had the time of our lives and would love to go back! We had an awesome travel agent that helped us book this amazing trip. I highly recommend using a travel agent to help you book and plan your honeymoon! Especially if you are planning to travel out of the country it really helps to have someone else book it and look over everything to make sure it all goes smoothly. We used the travel agency called Affordable Travel which I will link below. They helped us book our trip and flights which took a lot of the stress out of the equation for us.
